This private 10-day itinerary pairs Cairo’s iconic ancient sites with a relaxed four-night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. Itinerary

Day Day 01 — Arrival in Cairo

Arrive at Cairo Airport where you will be met and escorted to your hotel. Staff will assist with check-in and review the program and pickup times. Settle in and enjoy a welcome drink, then spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day Day 02 — Memphis, Saqqara and the Giza Plateau

After breakfast depart to the ancient capital of Memphis, then continue to Saqqara to see Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Giza Plateau to explore the three great pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Return to your hotel in Cairo for the evening.

Day Day 03 — Fly to Luxor & Embark Nile Cruise — Karnak and Luxor Temples

Transfer to Cairo Airport for the flight to Luxor. On arrival board the luxury Nile cruise. After lunch, visit the East Bank sites including Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Return to the ship for afternoon tea, dinner and overnight on board.

Day Day 04 — West Bank: Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut

This morning visit the West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch and afternoon tea are served on board while the cruise sails toward Edfu. Dinner and overnight aboard the ship.

Day Day 05 — Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

After breakfast disembark to explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Rejoin the ship and sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the unique double temple. Continue cruising toward Aswan with dinner served on board.

Day Day 06 — Aswan: High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae

In Aswan visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the island Temple of Philae. Enjoy a felucca sail to the Botanical Gardens before returning to the cruise for lunch, dinner and overnight.

Day Day 07 — Disembark and Fly to Cairo

After breakfast disembark in Aswan. You will have some free time in Aswan before being transferred to Aswan Airport for the flight back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day Day 08 — Grand Egyptian Museum and Coptic Cairo

Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum near Giza to view its extensive collection, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. After lunch at a local restaurant, tour Coptic Cairo with visits to the Hanging Church and Abu Sirga Church. Overnight in Cairo.

Day Day 09 — Free Day in Cairo (Optional Alexandria Excursion)

Enjoy an independent day in Cairo to shop, relax or explore additional attractions. An optional full-day excursion to Alexandria is available, visiting sites such as the Citadel of Qaitbay, Montazah Palace and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Lunch included if you choose the optional tour.

Day Day 10 — Departure

After breakfast the tour manager will transfer you to Cairo Airport, assist with luggage and check-in, and bid you farewell as you depart Egypt.
