Al Kahila Nile Cruise operates scheduled sailings between Luxor and Aswan, presenting a relaxed way to see Egypt’s major Nile Valley monuments. The vessel features a panoramic lounge and reception area, a lower-deck restaurant, sun deck with pool and bar, boutique, massage room and an internet corner. Itinerary

Day Day 1 — Welcome to Aswan — Embarkation and Afternoon Sightseeing (4-day program, Wednesday departures)

Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam for broad views over Lake Nasser, then take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to see Philae Temple, the island sanctuary dedicated to Isis. Later explore the Unfinished Obelisk and the nearby granite quarries. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day Day 2 — Optional Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo

An early morning optional transfer (by road or flight at extra cost) can take you to the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, the monumental sites relocated to avoid the High Dam reservoir. Return to the boat and sail north toward Kom Ombo, where you will visit the unique twin temple devoted to Sobek and Horus, with notable medical reliefs and a small crocodile museum. Dinner and overnight while sailing toward Edfu.

Day Day 3 — Edfu Temple and Luxor East Bank

In the morning, ride by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu — one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Return to the cruise for lunch as you sail to Luxor. In the afternoon explore the vast Karnak Temple complex and visit Luxor Temple at dusk, when its colonnades and statues are beautifully lit. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day Day 4 — Luxor West Bank — Valley of the Kings and More

After breakfast and check-out, visit the Valley of the Kings (entry to three tombs included; optional entrance to Tutankhamun’s tomb at an extra cost). Continue to the rock-cut Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and view the Colossi of Memnon. Program ends after the morning visits.

Day Day 1 — Welcome to Luxor — East Bank Exploration (5-day program, Saturday departures)

Embark before lunch and make yourself at home aboard. In the afternoon visit Karnak Temple — walk the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes and explore the Hypostyle Hall — then continue to Luxor Temple. Return to the boat for tea and relaxing time on the sun deck. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day Day 2 — Luxor West Bank — Royal Tombs and Sail to Esna

This morning explore the Valley of the Kings, visiting three royal tombs (optional extra-cost entry to Tutankhamun’s or Seti I’s tombs). See the terraced mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch and commence sailing toward Esna, passing riverside villages and farmland and transiting the Esna lock. Dinner and overnight on board while sailing toward Edfu. Optional early-morning hot-air balloon rides over Luxor are available at extra cost.

Day Day 3 — Afternoon Visit to Kom Ombo

In the afternoon visit Kom Ombo to see the twin temple shared by the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus the Elder, notable for its medical reliefs and small on-site museum featuring mummified crocodiles.

Day Day 4 — Aswan — High Dam, Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk

Morning visits in Aswan include the Aswan High Dam, the island sanctuary of Philae reached by motorboat, and the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries. Optional visits may include a Nubian village excursion in the local area (extra cost).

Day Day 5 — Optional Abu Simbel Excursion (From Aswan)

An optional early excursion to Abu Simbel (by road or flight at additional cost) is offered from Aswan to visit the twin rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. This excursion is extra and arranged separately from the standard cruise itinerary.
