10 Days of Nile and Lake Nasser Cruises
This private 10-day program pairs a traditional Nile cruise with a Lake Nasser cruise to cover the principal monuments of Upper Egypt. Begin in Luxor, cruise south along the Nile visiting West Bank tombs and temples, continue to Aswan and transfer by plane to Abu Simbel for boarding on your Lake Nasser vessel. An English-speaking Egyptologist accompanies all excursions; transfers, selected domestic flight, entrance fees and most meals are included. Accommodation is a mix of deluxe river and lake cruisers plus two nights in a Luxor hotel.

Itinerary
Day Day 1 — Arrival in Luxor and Embarkation
Arrival in Luxor. On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your Nile cruise vessel. No scheduled sightseeing today—use the afternoon to settle in aboard the ship or explore the nearby town at your leisure.

Day Day 2 — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut
After breakfast on board, visit the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple. See the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon the cruise sails via Esna Lock toward Edfu.

Day Day 3 — Edfu, Kom Ombo and Sail to Aswan
Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu after breakfast. Reboard for lunch while the boat continues to Kom Ombo, where you will see the twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. The cruise then proceeds to Aswan for an overnight aboard.

Day Day 4 — Aswan: High Dam, Philae and Unfinished Obelisk
Morning excursions in Aswan include the Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple on its island and the Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy free time in the afternoon while moored in Aswan.

Day Day 5 — Transfer to Abu Simbel — Embark Lake Nasser Cruise
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Aswan airport for the included flight to Abu Simbel. On arrival you will board the Lake Nasser cruise vessel. After lunch aboard, visit the monumental temples of Abu Simbel.

Day Day 6 — Kasr Ibrim (view) and Amada
Sail toward Kasr Ibrim; the site is viewed from the ship’s sun deck as on-board access is restricted. Continue to Amada and visit several temples there, including the Tomb of Penout, before the ship proceeds to Wadi El Seboua.

Day Day 7 — Wadi El Seboua, Dakka and Meharakka
Morning visits include Wadi El Seboua, the Temple of Dakka and the Temple of Meharakka. Return to the vessel for lunch and some leisure time while the ship sails back toward Aswan.

Day Day 8 — Kalabsha, Beit el-Wali and Transfer to Luxor
Disembark after breakfast to visit the Kalabsha Temple, Beit el-Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. After the visits, transfer by deluxe air-conditioned vehicle from Aswan to Luxor (approximately 3.5 hours). Overnight in a Luxor hotel.

Day Day 9 — Karnak and Luxor Temples — Leisure
Following breakfast at the hotel, visit the East Bank to explore Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. The afternoon is free for shopping or relaxing in Luxor. Overnight in your Luxor hotel.

Day Day 10 — Departure from Luxor
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your onward flight. Services conclude on departure.
