Sonesta St. George I Nile Cruise
Sonesta St. George I is presented as a five-star, all-suite Nile cruise with a classical French 'turn of the century' design. Launched in 2006, the vessel features a mix of deluxe cabins and suites (listed in source as 47 deluxe cabins, nine presidential suites and one royal suite). Itinerary
Day Day 1 (04 Days Program – Every Friday) — Welcome to Aswan – Philae, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk
Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam—an impressive 20th-century engineering project that created Lake Nasser—and then take a short boat ride to Agilkia Island to see Philae Temple, a beautifully sited sanctuary dedicated to Isis. The day finishes with a visit to the ancient granite quarries to view the Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into ancient stone-working methods. Return to the ship for dinner and an overnight in Aswan.

Day Day 2 (04 Days Program) — Kom Ombo & Edfu – Sailing the Nile
Early morning sail toward Kom Ombo. Visit the rare double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder, then continue sailing to Edfu. In Edfu, take a traditional horse-drawn carriage to the temple of Horus—one of Egypt’s best-preserved sanctuaries—before rejoining the boat and sailing on toward Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day Day 3 (04 Days Program) — Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Memnon
Visit the West Bank necropolis: enter several tombs in the Valley of the Kings, explore the terraced mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and view the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch, then enjoy a relaxed afternoon cruising. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day Day 4 (04 Days Program) — Luxor East Bank – Karnak & Luxor Temples / Disembark
After breakfast and check-out, visit the vast Karnak Temple complex—walk along the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes and through the Hypostyle Hall—and continue to Luxor Temple with its grand statues and historic atmosphere. Conclude your cruise arrangements at the end of this visit.

Day Day 1 (05 Days Program – Every Monday) — Welcome to Luxor – Karnak & Luxor Temples (East Bank)
Embark before lunch and settle into your suite. In the afternoon explore the Karnak Temple complex—an extensive religious site with monumental pylons and the Hypostyle Hall—and visit Luxor Temple, a graceful riverside monument that played a central role in ancient ritual life.
Day Day 2 (05 Days Program) — Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Colossi
Visit the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the terraced mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and view the Colossi of Memnon. (Optional sunrise hot-air balloon rides are also offered separately.)
Day Day 3 (05 Days Program) — Sailing to Edfu – Visit Edfu Temple
Sail toward Edfu and visit the well-preserved temple of Horus, accessed traditionally by a horse-drawn carriage in the village. Explore the temple’s monumental pylon and inner sanctuaries before returning to the ship.
Day Day 4 (05 Days Program) — Kom Ombo & Onward to Aswan
In the morning visit Kom Ombo’s unique double temple, then continue sailing toward Aswan where further visits include the High Dam, Philae Temple on Agilkia Island and the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient quarries.
Day Day 5 (05 Days Program) — Aswan – Final Visits and Disembarkation
Complete any remaining visits in Aswan, return to the ship to prepare for disembarkation and onward travel. Optional excursions such as a Nubian village visit or transfers to Abu Simbel are available at extra cost.
