Itinerary

Day Day 1 (4D/3N) — Welcome to Aswan — Embarkation and Aswan highlights

Board the ship prior to lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam for views over Lake Nasser, then take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to explore the island temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis. A visit to the Unfinished Obelisk and the ancient granite quarries completes the day. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day Day 2 (4D/3N) — Abu Simbel (optional) & Kom Ombo — Optional Abu Simbel; Kom Ombo temple

An early optional excursion to Abu Simbel (by road or flight at extra cost) visits the twin rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to the boat and sail north toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon visit the distinctive twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, including the small crocodile museum and medical reliefs. Dinner and overnight as the cruise continues toward Edfu.

Day Day 3 (4D/3N) — Edfu & Luxor East Bank — Temple of Horus; Karnak & Luxor

In the morning a horse-drawn carriage takes you to Edfu to visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus. Return to the ship for lunch while sailing to Luxor. In the afternoon explore Karnak Temple complex, then visit Luxor Temple as evening falls. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day Day 4 (4D/3N) — Luxor West Bank & Disembarkation — Valley of the Kings and West Bank monuments

After breakfast and check-out, cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings (entrance to three tombs included; entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb extra), the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Disembarkation and onward transfer at the conclusion of the program.

Day Day 1 (5D/4N) — Welcome to Luxor — Embarkation and East Bank temples

Embark the cruise before lunch and take time to settle in. That afternoon visit the vast Karnak Temple complex and Luxor Temple. Return to the ship for tea, dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.

Day Day 2 (5D/4N) — West Bank and Sail to Esna — Valley of the Kings; sail to Esna

Morning visits to the West Bank include the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional entrances to additional tombs at extra cost), Queen Hatshepsut’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch, then sail south toward Esna and pass through the Esna lock. Dinner and overnight as you continue toward Edfu. An optional early-morning hot air balloon over Luxor is available at extra cost.

Day Day 3 (5D/4N) — Edfu & Kom Ombo — Temple of Horus and Kom Ombo visits

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu (traditionally reached by horse-drawn carriage). Continue sailing and stop at Kom Ombo to explore the twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus and its small museum. Overnight on board as the cruise approaches Aswan.

Day Day 4 (5D/4N) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae & Unfinished Obelisk — Aswan’s principal sites

In Aswan visit the High Dam for panoramic views of Lake Nasser, reach Philae Temple by motorboat on Agilkia Island to see the island shrine to Isis, and explore the Unfinished Obelisk and granite quarries. Optional visits such as a Nubian village can be arranged locally. Overnight in Aswan.

Day Day 5 (5D/4N) — Disembarkation / Optional Abu Simbel — End of cruise; optional excursion

After breakfast complete formalities and disembark. Guests based in Aswan may choose an optional transfer to Abu Simbel by road or flight (available at extra cost).
