MS Royal La Terrasse is a 5-star deluxe Nile vessel launched in November 2008. The ship combines traditional river cruising style with contemporary comforts: panoramic windows, sun deck, pool, on-board restaurant, and 24-hour medical support. Cabins feature private baths, individually controlled air conditioning and in-cabin telephones. The vessel follows the classic Luxor–Edfu–Kom Ombo–Aswan itinerary and offers guided shore excursions, with departures from Luxor or Aswan depending on the selected program.

Itinerary

Day 4-Day Program — Day 1 — Welcome to Aswan — Embarkation and Afternoon Sights

Embark on board before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the High Dam to view the engineering structure and Lake Nasser, then continue to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island reached by motorboat. Finish with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient granite quarries. Dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.

Day 4-Day Program — Day 2 — Optional Abu Simbel — Sail to Kom Ombo

Early morning there is an optional excursion to Abu Simbel (extra cost), by road or flight, to see the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to the cruise and sail north toward Kom Ombo for an afternoon visit to the twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, including the small crocodile museum. Overnight as you sail toward Edfu.

Day 4-Day Program — Day 3 — Edfu by Horse-Drawn Carriage — Luxor East Bank

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu by traditional horse carriage, then rejoin the boat and continue sailing to Luxor. In the afternoon explore the vast Karnak Temple complex and later visit Luxor Temple as it is beautifully illuminated around sunset. Dinner and overnight onboard in Luxor.

Day 4-Day Program — Day 4 — Luxor West Bank — Disembarkation

After breakfast, disembark for a morning on the West Bank: visit the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional entry to Tutankhamun's tomb at extra cost), the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. After the tour, check out and transfer as required.

Day 5-Day Program — Day 1 — Embarkation in Luxor — Karnak and Luxor Temples

Board the ship before lunch and get settled. In the afternoon visit the Karnak Temple complex—walk the Avenue of Sphinxes and the Hypostyle Hall—then continue to Luxor Temple. Return to the cruise for tea, dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day 5-Day Program — Day 2 — West Bank: Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut — Sail to Esna

Visit the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional extra-cost tomb entries), the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch, then sail south toward Esna, passing riverside villages and passing through the Esna Lock. Dinner and overnight while sailing toward Edfu. An optional early-morning hot-air balloon flight over Luxor is offered at extra cost.

Day 5-Day Program — Day 3 — Edfu and Kom Ombo

Visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus by traditional transport, then reboard and continue sailing to Kom Ombo for an afternoon visit to the unusual twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, with medical reliefs and a small crocodile museum. Overnight as the cruise continues toward Aswan.

Day 5-Day Program — Day 4 — Aswan: High Dam, Philae and Unfinished Obelisk

Explore Aswan’s highlights, including the Aswan High Dam, the island temple of Philae reached by boat, and the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient quarries. Evening at leisure onboard in Aswan; optional visits to a Nubian village are available at extra cost.

Day 5-Day Program — Day 5 — Disembarkation in Aswan

Breakfast on board and check-out. Optional onward transfers or excursions (including Abu Simbel at extra cost) can be arranged.
