MS Mayfair Nile Cruise

MS Mayfair is a Nile cruise vessel that operates between Luxor and Aswan. The ship is arranged across five passenger decks and offers a mix of relaxed public areas and practical cabin comforts. Facilities include a sundeck with pool and Jacuzzi, a spa with steam and sauna, multiple bars and a restaurant, a lounge and library, an onboard boutique and medical support. Cabins feature French balconies, in-room safes, mini bars, satellite TV and hair dryers. Egyptologist-guided shore excursions are provided for the scheduled route Luxor / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan.

Itinerary

Day Day 1 — Welcome to Aswan — Embarkation & Afternoon Sights

Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam, the island temple of Philae dedicated to Isis (access by boat), and the nearby ancient granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk. Return to the ship for dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day Day 2 — Kom Ombo & Edfu — Sailing the Nile

Early sailing toward Kom Ombo. Morning visit to the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, then continue to Edfu after lunch. At Edfu take a traditional horse-drawn carriage to the well-preserved Temple of Horus. After the visit sail onward toward Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day Day 3 — Luxor West Bank — Necropolis of Thebes

Explore the West Bank with a guided visit to the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional entry to additional tombs), the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the vessel for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day Day 4 — Luxor East Bank — Karnak & Luxor Temples / Disembarkation

Breakfast on board and check-out. Visit the vast Karnak Temple complex including the Avenue of Sphinxes and the Hypostyle Hall, followed by a visit to Luxor Temple. End of cruise services in Luxor.

Day Day 1 — Welcome to Luxor — Embarkation & Afternoon Visits

Embark before lunch and make yourself comfortable in your cabin. In the afternoon visit Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple, return to the ship for tea, dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.

Day Day 2 — West Bank — Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut, Sail to Esna

Visit the Valley of the Kings to see three royal tombs (optional access to additional tombs may be available at extra cost). Continue to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and view the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship and set sail toward Esna.

Day Day 3 — Edfu & Kom Ombo — Temple Visits

Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus by traditional carriage. After lunch onboard, continue sailing to Kom Ombo for a visit to the double temple honoring Sobek and Horus, then overnight on board.

Day Day 4 — Aswan — High Dam, Philae & Unfinished Obelisk

Arrive in Aswan and visit the Aswan High Dam, the island temple of Philae (boat transfer required), and the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient quarries. Optional activities from Aswan may include a visit to a Nubian village or an excursion to Abu Simbel (extra cost and arrangements required). Overnight in Aswan.

Day Day 5 — Disembarkation

Breakfast on board followed by check-out and transfer to your onward destination.
