Itinerary

Day 04 Days / 03 Nights – Day 1 — Arrival in Aswan — Embarkation & Afternoon Visits

Embark before lunch and take time to settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam for panoramic views of Lake Nasser, then cross to Agilkia Island by motorboat to tour Philae Temple dedicated to Isis. Finish with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient granite quarries. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day 04 Days / 03 Nights – Day 2 — Optional Abu Simbel — Kom Ombo

An early morning optional excursion to Abu Simbel (by road or flight at extra cost) is available to see the twin temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to the vessel and sail north toward Kom Ombo. Visit the unique twin temple shared by Sobek and Horus, and view the site’s medical reliefs and its small crocodile museum. Dinner and overnight as you continue toward Edfu.

Day 04 Days / 03 Nights – Day 3 — Edfu by Carriage — Luxor East Bank

Reach Edfu by horse-drawn carriage and explore the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s most intact Ptolemaic temples. Return to the cruise for lunch as you sail to Luxor. In the afternoon visit the vast Karnak Temple Complex and later Luxor Temple, beautifully atmospheric at dusk. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 04 Days / 03 Nights – Day 4 — Luxor West Bank — Disembarkation

After breakfast, check out and cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb is optional at extra cost). Continue to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and view the Colossi of Memnon before final transfer from the cruise.

Day 05 Days / 04 Nights – Day 1 — Arrival in Luxor — Karnak & Luxor Temples

Embark before lunch and make yourself comfortable aboard. In the afternoon explore the Karnak Temple Complex, including the Hypostyle Hall and the Precinct of Amun-Re, then visit Luxor Temple located in the city center. Return to the boat for tea time, dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day 05 Days / 04 Nights – Day 2 — West Bank — Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Sail to Esna

Cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings (three royal tombs included; optional entry to Tutankhamun or Seti I at extra cost), the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise for lunch and begin sailing toward Esna, passing local villages and farmland and transiting the Esna Lock. Dinner and overnight as the boat sails toward Edfu. An optional early-morning hot air balloon over Luxor is available at additional cost.

Day 05 Days / 04 Nights – Day 3 — Edfu & Kom Ombo

Visit Edfu by horse-drawn carriage to see the Temple of Horus, noted for its preservation and reliefs. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo and tour the twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, including its medical scenes and small on-site displays. Dinner and overnight as you continue toward Aswan.

Day 05 Days / 04 Nights – Day 4 — Aswan — High Dam, Philae & Quarry

On arrival in Aswan visit the High Dam for sweeping views, then reach Philae Temple by motorboat on Agilkia Island to explore the island sanctuary of Isis. Also visit the Unfinished Obelisk and the ancient quarries. Optional activities include a Nubian village visit or an Abu Simbel excursion from Aswan at extra cost. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.
