Malouka is a deluxe dahabiya operating between Esna and Aswan. Built in 2008, the vessel has 10 cabins (including panoramic suites and eight luxury rooms) and carries up to 20 guests. Public areas include a dining room, bars and a reading lounge; leisure features include a sun deck, small pool and Wi‑Fi. Cabins have large panoramic windows and private bathrooms; the boat is equipped with full fire safety systems and medical support on call.

Itinerary

Day Day 1 — Monday — Esna

On arrival at Luxor airport or train station you will be welcomed and transferred to the dahabiya. After embarkation, a guided visit to Esna includes the sunken Temple of Khnum and a walk through town markets known for textiles and local crafts. Overnight on board in Esna.

Day Day 2 — Tuesday — El Kab & Edfu

Early sailing takes you to El Kab on the Nile's east bank to see the temple of Nekhbet and the decorated rock-cut tombs at the necropolis. In the afternoon the dahabiya reaches Edfu, where a horse-and-carriage transfer visits the well-preserved Temple of Horus. Return to the boat and continue to a nearby island for the night.

Day Day 3 — Wednesday — Sail & Swim

A relaxed day focused on the river: morning sailing with optional walks, then a stop at an island for swimming and a riverside stroll. At dusk there may be a short walk into a nearby valley with rock inscriptions. Overnight mooring is at the floodlit temple of Gebel Silsileh.

Day Day 4 — Thursday — Gebel Silsileh

Explore Gebel Silsileh where the Nile narrows between sandstone ranges. Visit the small Temple of Horemheb and the ancient quarries, then relax at a riverside café for tea and shisha. The afternoon includes time for swimming and lunch on a quiet bank.

Day Day 5 — Friday — Kom Ombo

Sail toward Kom Ombo and visit its distinctive double temple dedicated in part to the crocodile god Sobek. The excursion includes entry to the Crocodile Museum, which displays mummified crocodiles and related finds. Return to the dahabiya for the evening.

Day Day 6 — Saturday — Aswan & Departure

Enjoy breakfast on board before disembarkation and transfer to Aswan airport or train station for onward travel.
