Itinerary

Day Day 1 (4 Days / 3 Nights – Every Monday, embarkation in Aswan) — Embarkation, High Dam & Philae

Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the Aswan High Dam for views over Lake Nasser, then take a motorboat to Agilkia Island to explore the Philae Temple complex dedicated to Isis. Also visit the nearby Unfinished Obelisk and the ancient granite quarries. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day Day 2 (4 Days / 3 Nights) — Optional Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo

Optional early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel (by road or flight, extra cost) to see the twin rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to the boat and begin sailing north toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon visit Kom Ombo, the unusual twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, with medical reliefs and a small crocodile museum. Dinner and overnight as you sail toward Edfu.

Day Day 3 (4 Days / 3 Nights) — Edfu by Horse Carriage and Luxor Temples

Ride by horse carriage to the well-preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu. After returning to the boat, sail to Luxor with lunch on board. In the afternoon and evening visit Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple, enjoying the monumental colonnades, obelisks and the evening atmosphere. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day Day 4 (4 Days / 3 Nights – Disembarkation) — Valley of the Kings and West Bank

After breakfast, check out of your cabin and cross to Luxor’s West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional entry to Tutankhamun's tomb at extra cost), the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon before concluding your cruise.

Day Day 1 (5 Days / 4 Nights – Every Thursday, embarkation in Luxor) — Embarkation, Karnak and Luxor Temples

Board before lunch and take time to get settled. In the afternoon visit the vast Karnak Temple Complex, including the Hypostyle Hall and precincts of Amun-Re, then continue to Luxor Temple for an evening visit. Return to the ship for dinner and an overnight in Luxor.

Day Day 2 (5 Days / 4 Nights) — West Bank Royal Tombs and Sail to Esna

Cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional entrance to Tutankhamun or Seti I at extra cost), the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch, then begin sailing south toward Esna, passing through the Esna Lock and continuing on toward Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day Day 3 (5 Days / 4 Nights) — Edfu and Kom Ombo

Visit Edfu’s Temple of Horus, reached by traditional horse carriage, then reboard and sail to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon explore the twin Kom Ombo Temple and its small museum exhibiting crocodile mummies. Continue sailing toward Aswan and overnight on board.

Day Day 4 (5 Days / 4 Nights) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae and Obelisk

Arrive in Aswan and visit the High Dam, then take a boat to Agilkia Island to tour Philae Temple. Also see the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient quarries. Time permitting, optional visits such as a Nubian village can be arranged. Overnight and dinner on board in Aswan.

Day Day 5 (5 Days / 4 Nights – Disembarkation / Optional Abu Simbel) — Disembarkation and Final Visits

After breakfast complete check-out formalities. Guests who have booked the optional Abu Simbel excursion may depart early for the transfer; otherwise free time in Aswan before transfers to onward services.
