MS Farida is a traditionally appointed Nile cruise vessel offering comfortable cabins and a program of excursions between Luxor and Aswan. Itinerary

Day Day 1 (04D/03N program — Friday departures from Aswan) — Embarkation and Aswan highlights

Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin. In the afternoon visit the High Dam for sweeping views over Lake Nasser, then continue by motorboat to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, dedicated to Isis. A visit to the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient granite quarries follows. Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day Day 2 (04D/03N) — Optional Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo

An early-morning optional excursion to Abu Simbel (by road or flight, extra cost) is available to see the twin temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Return to the boat and sail north toward Kom Ombo, where you visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus, with its medical reliefs and museum. Overnight on board while sailing toward Edfu.

Day Day 3 (04D/03N) — Edfu and Luxor east bank

In Edfu take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Return to the vessel and sail to Luxor, with lunch on board. In the afternoon explore the Karnak Temple Complex and later Luxor Temple, both spectacular at sunset. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day Day 4 (04D/03N) — Luxor west bank and disembarkation

After breakfast and check-out, visit the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings (entrance to three tombs included; optional entry to Tutankhamun's tomb at additional cost), the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. End of cruise services.

Day Day 1 (05D/04N program — Monday departures from Luxor) — Embarkation in Luxor — Karnak & Luxor Temples

Embark before lunch and get settled in your cabin. In the afternoon tour the vast Karnak Temple Complex, including the Avenue of Sphinxes and the Hypostyle Hall, then continue to Luxor Temple. Return to the ship for tea, relax on the sun deck and enjoy dinner aboard. Overnight in Luxor.

Day Day 2 (05D/04N) — West Bank — Valley of the Kings and sail to Esna

Explore the West Bank, visiting the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included; optional access to Tutankhamun or Seti I at extra cost), the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch aboard the cruise sails toward Esna, passing riverside villages and navigating the Esna lock. Dinner and overnight while continuing toward Edfu. An optional early-morning hot air balloon over Luxor is available (extra cost).

Day Day 3 (05D/04N) — Edfu and Kom Ombo — temples of Horus and Sobek

Visit Edfu by carriage to see the Temple of Horus, then return to the boat and continue sailing to Kom Ombo. At Kom Ombo explore the rare double temple devoted to Sobek and Horus and view its small museum. Overnight on board as the vessel continues toward Aswan.

Day Day 4 (05D/04N) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae and quarries

In Aswan visit the Aswan High Dam for panoramic views, then cross to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island to see the sanctuary of Isis. Explore the Unfinished Obelisk and the ancient granite quarries. Optional visits include a Nubian village or an excursion to Abu Simbel from Aswan (both at extra cost). Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan.

Day Day 5 (05D/04N) — Disembarkation in Aswan

Breakfast on board followed by check-out and end of cruise services in Aswan.
