Itinerary

Day 4 Days — Day 1 (Friday) — Arrival in Aswan, Philae and Embarkation

On arrival at Aswan airport or train station you will be welcomed and assisted, then join your Egyptologist for a tour of Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam followed by time in the Aswan bazaar. Return to the dahabiya for lunch and embarkation, then set sail toward Kom Ombo for an overnight mooring.

Day 4 Days — Day 2 (Saturday) — Kom Ombo and Gebel el Silsila

After breakfast visit the Greco-Roman temple at Kom Ombo. Continue sailing to the rock-cut temples at Gebel el Silsila and the Speos of Hormheb. Depending on conditions, dinner may be arranged in the temple grounds or served on the upper deck under the night sky.

Day 4 Days — Day 3 (Sunday) — Edfu by Horse Carriage and Egyptian Evening

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before visiting Edfu Temple by horse carriage, then explore the lively local bazaar. Later sail to a Nile island for a riverside dinner if weather permits, or dine on the sun deck. The evening features traditional Egyptian music and themed entertainment.

Day 4 Days — Day 4 (Monday) — Disembark at Esna and Luxor Sightseeing

After breakfast disembark in Esna and transfer to Luxor for a guided visit to the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's temple, the Colossi of Memnon and Karnak Temple. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to Luxor airport or train station for onward travel.

Day 5 Days — Day 1 (Monday) — Arrival in Luxor and Embarkation at Esna

Arrive at Luxor airport or train station and meet your local team. Start with a guided tour of Luxor’s highlights: the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon and Karnak Temple. Transfer to Esna to embark the dahabiya; evening on board and overnight in Esna.

Day 5 Days — Day 2 (Tuesday) — Sail to Edfu — Temple Visit

After breakfast sail toward Edfu and arrive around midday. Visit Edfu Temple by horse carriage, then browse the bazaar. Lunch on board precedes a scenic afternoon sail toward Gebel el Silsila. Dinner may be served at the temple site, on an island or on deck accompanied by music.

Day 5 Days — Day 3 (Wednesday) — Kom Ombo and Arrival at Aswan

Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin sanctuaries of the Greco-Roman temple. Continue to Aswan, enjoying river life along the way. Overnight mooring close to Aswan city.

Day 5 Days — Day 4 (Thursday) — Philae, High Dam and Aswan Evening

Spend the day in Aswan with visits to Philae Temple and the High Dam, plus time to explore the Aswan bazaar. Return to the dahabiya for an evening at leisure and overnight in Aswan.

Day 5 Days — Day 5 (Friday) — Disembarkation in Aswan

After breakfast disembark and transfer to Aswan airport or train station for your onward journey.
